Legacy of Compassionate Care Community Impact Breakfast

Premier Community HealthCare has been serving the Pasco and Hernando Community for 43 Years serving more than 38,000 patients last year alone during COVID-19 pandemic. Cheryl Pollock joined the Premier team in 2012, responsible for marketing and community outreach. Premier did not have a history of fundraising, grant writing or a development team. Cheryl has proven herself to the leadership team advocating that Premier is a 501c3 and the community should have an opportunity to choose Premier as their charity of choice. She created a Community Services team and brought in millions of dollars of grant funding for the federally qualified health center to expand services to Hernando County and by adding additional programs to meet the healthcare needs of our community. Premier held their first breakfast fundraising event in 2019 raising $12,000 and increasing awareness. The event was canceled the following two years due to the pandemic. In the last year, Cheryl was able to build her team by adding a grant manager and donor relations manager. Due to Cheryl’s vision and leadership, the 2nd Annual Community Impact Breakfast held on September 15th raised more than $107,000. The organization also increased the annual giving campaign to $50,000. Cheryl has inspired 2/3 of Premier’s employees to become donors. They work day in and day out with patients who often would not receive care anywhere else due to their circumstances and lack of resources. Finally, Premier rolled out our first $1,000,000 capital campaign under Cheryl’s leadership in the past few months and have already met 1/4 of our goal.
